Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Datefolio account and what gets deleted.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open Datefolio → Settings.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Tap Email me a code, enter the 6-digit code, and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately.

By email

If you can't open the app, email support@datefolio.app from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm and delete your account within [14] days. [LAWYER/YOU: state the period you can really keep; the GDPR deadline is one month.]

What is deleted

• Your account: email address, account ID and sign-in records on our server.
• Your AI usage counters.

What is not affected

• Your journal. It lives only on your phone, so we can't delete it for you. Use Settings → Delete all my data, or delete the app.
• Records we must keep by law, if any. [Confirm: likely none for a free app.]
• Emails you sent to support, which we keep for up to [12] months.
